Indie Lens Pop-Up Screening: "Always in Season"

Add to plan Remove from plan

6:30 - 9pm

Panhandle PBS and "Independent Lens" will host a new season of Indie Lens Pop-Up, the neighborhood screening series that brings people together for community-driven conversations around documentaries from the award-winning PBS series "Independent Lens" on Panhandle PBS.

The screenings are free, and each will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Amarillo-area experts, community leaders and more.

Centered around the mysterious death of Lennon Lacy, "Always in Season" explores the lingering impact of more than a century of lynching and connects this form of historic racial terrorism to racial violence today.

A panel discussion about the lynching in Texas and elsewhere will follow, featuring Tim Bowman (West Texas A&M University), David Lovejoy (Amarillo NAACP Branch) and Patrick Miller (Amarillo College Board of Regents).
