Tascosa Country Club (“TCC”) was founded in the 1950's on land once part of the historic “Frying Pan Ranch”. Barbed wire, which is now featured in Tascosa Golf Club's logo, was invented on the Frying Pan Ranch.
La Paloma Golf Club was founded in 1998 on 250 acres across Fairway Dr. to the North of Tascosa Country Club. La Paloma included an 18 hole, links style golf course, clubhouse and swimming pool. The La Paloma Estates features 250 home sites, many of which are adjacent to the La Paloma golf course.

In May of 2010, La Paloma purchased TCC's assets and merged the two clubs, forming Tascosa Golf Club. In the fall of 2010, TCC's 45,000 square foot clubhouse was demolished. A family friendly swimming pool and athletic complex was constructed on the former location of the clubhouse. The new facility was an immediate “hit” and, along with the outstanding, diverse 36-holes of golf offered by the club, created rapid membership growth.

Tascosa Golf Club proudly offers the only residential golf community in the Amarillo market. The club's ownership is dedicated to providing its members and residents with the best lifestyle in the Texas panhandle and has demonstrated this dedication through constant investment in the club's assets and development of new club programs for the members.

Tascosa is a “non-equity” club, which means its members are not subject to assessment. The Club's Investors/Owners fulfill its capital needs. TGC has spent over $5,000,000 on capital improvements over the past five years.

To come full circle, Tascosa Development Company, an affiliate of Tascosa Golf Club, purchased 270 acres from the Bush Family, the historic owners of the Frying Pan Ranch, in 2017. The recently acquired land is adjacent to the south boundary of the Tascosa Golf Club's Tascosa course and is being developed as a master planned community, The Trails at Tascosa Golf Club.

The 500 home sites available in The Trails will more than double the number of homes within the Tascosa community (Tascosa Estates, La Paloma Estates and The Trails). The Trails will feature 40 acres of manicured parks, 12 acres of lakes, 4 miles of walking trails, youth athletic fields and a playground, all of which will add to the incredible lifestyle already enjoyed by Club members.
